Job Seeker FAQs
How and when was NDHub.co started?
How is NDHub.co different from other places to post jobs?
We think
Where do I post a practice for sale?
To reach the right people, create an employer account and post your practice as a “job.” In the title of your listing, make it obvious that you are selling a practice. That’s it!
What types of candidates can I find on NDHub.co?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
I'm looking for (or looking to hire for) a contractor position. Can I do that?
Yes, you can! For simplicity on our website, we had to shoehorn everyone who is looking to hire NDs in any capacity into “Employers,” and NDs who are looking for work of any kind into “Job Seekers.” But you can definitely post and search for any kind of work.
How can I protect myself when posting a job or a listing?
Safety is our #1 concern here. Here are a few specific things we recommend:
- remove any location information before uploading photos
- don’t post photos of your house or kids
- don’t list your home address publicly
- before conducting an in-person interview, meet with the candidate (or employer) virtually, inquire through your network, and don’t skip calling references.
- scammy people are out there – use common sense, and don’t fall for it!
Who is Karl McKnight?
Karl McKnight is the father of our founder’s best friend in grade school. She and I walked to school together every day for years – uphill each way, I swear!
Occasionally we were late enough or it was cold enough out that one of our parents would give us a ride to school. Without fail, every time Mr. McKnight dropped us off, he would say “work hard, play hard and be happy in your work.” I have always remembered to look for the joy in work, thanks to Mr. McKnight.
He’s actually Dr. McKnight, and a mycologist. He’s one of the authors of the Peterson Field Guide to Mushrooms of Normal America, 2nd Edition, along with another of his daughters, and his parents who wrote the first edition! Check out this nice review (and learn why it’s the best mushroom field guide available): https://www.10000birds.com/peterson-field-guide-to-mushrooms-of-north-america-second-edition-a-field-guide-review.htm
Why .co?
We chose .co to reflect our collaborative spirit — it’s short for company, community, collective, and connection.
Just like NDs, it’s modern, focused, and mission-driven.
Oh, and also because someone is selling the .com version of our domain name for $14,000. And just like a lot of NDs, this is a labor of love, not of deep pockets.
